“Digital agenda for modern Ukraine”

16 Feb 2017 in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine held hearings on the theme “Digital agenda for modern Ukraine” organized jointly by the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Informatization and communication and public union  “Hi Tech Office Ukraine”.

First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine S. I. Kubiv, Chairman of the Committee on Informatization and communication – A. I. Danchenko, the Deputy head of the presidential Administration of Ukraine Dmitry shymkiv A., Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea in Ukraine, the representative of the Embassy of Kazakhstan and representatives of leading industry associations have attended and actively participate The hearings.

During the event the “Digital agenda of Ukraine – 2020” was discussed. This is an  important document which sets the vision for  the future of Ukraine. This document is not just spelled out what you need to do but how to do it. The document can be found here:http://bit.ly/2htIdTw

The joint position of all governmental institutes  in support of the document confirmed the understanding that the transition to a digital economy is a global trend. We need to take practical steps today which will build the basis for the digital economy and society of the future.

These practical steps and the human capital will create the position of Ukraine, which will be competitive on the global market.

Participants agreed on the priority of further digital development of Ukraine, agreed to actively cooperate to develop the legislative and institutional opportunities for the development of the digital economy.

This joint position of the Cabinet of Ministry, Verkhovna Rada and Presedent’s Administration is reflected in Recommendation of Committee hearings, which will be published by the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada during the week.

Secretary of the National Council of Reforms Dmytro Shymkiv has offered to discuss the Digital agenda on the National Council of reforms.
